ON PIT ROW adds new ARCA shows on Tuesday nights
by Steve Wronkowicz
I am co-host of the syndicated radio show: ON PIT ROW. Over ten years on the air and three on the net; see what can happen when I don't let the facts get in the way of my opinions.

Bench Racing Productions, parent company of ON PIT ROW, has agreed to produce a ninety minute radio show focusing on the ARCA Remax Series as well as local racing action at ARCA owned Toledo and Flat Rock Speedways.
INSIDE THE ARCA REMAX SERIES and INSIDE THE ARCA SHORT TRACKS will debut on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at 7pm ET and can be heard live via the internet at www.arcaracing.com. The show will also be broadcast, on a taped delay basis, in Toledo, Ohio on Fox Sports Radio-1230-WCWA at midnight on Wednesdays.
Steve and Charlie, The Pit Crew, will be joined weekly by the stars and personalities that make up the ARCA Remax Series from 7 to 8pm. Then at 8pm the focus shifts to the local racing scene of Toledo and Flat Rock Speedways. Track announcer, Gary Lindahl, will join The Pit Crew to review race results and follow the local teams and drivers and their stories.
The new block of ARCA programming will join ON PIT ROW; being broadcast live from the Toledo Speedway Bar and Grill, located just off the front stretch of Toledo Speedway on Benore Rd in Toledo, Ohio. Fans, race teams and sponsors are encouraged to attend the live three and a half hour broadcast to talk racing and take advantage of food and drink specials, sure to add to the party atmosphere.

3 1/2 hours?!
Geesh, does Alcoa make enough foil to supply that much air time?
Snark aside, with a bit of luck the 8-9 hour will feature something to appease us old timers. Say interviews (or career reviews of the dearly departed) of Joy Fair, Danny Bird and Figure 8 legends Lubie Allen, Chuck Hall and Bob Belz to name a few.
Hey Marc, that’s a great idea! We’ll see if we can’t just sate your old guy appetite. We have been working on this project with the ARCA folks since the final race – ARCA Championship Weekend – back in October. We are more than a bit excited. Tune in next week and give us your expert critique of the new show. You can tell us how much you love the old show too, if you’d like.
What idea Charlie?
The possible need for a second supplier of foil?
Congrats on new gig, but you guys have your worked cut off for you.
ARCA Thunder on Race Talk Radio does a fabolous job covering the ARCA RE/MAX Series and they will be tough to beat.
Regards,
George
congrats on the new show.
i have to agree with george though. the arca thunder bunch with mike, chris, dennis and lori have a good show and they are on the dot every week. they will be hard to beat.
it will be fun though to listen to the shows and compare them.
best of lucky,
listener,
jenny.
Thanks for the good wishes. I couldn’t agree more with your assessments of ARCA Thunder.
Our intent is to join them in adding coverage to a very exciting and underexposeed property–not to beat them,
Jenny, George, thanks for the wishes. ON PIT ROW has been re-broadcast on RaceTalkRadio.com for about a year now. Steve and I are big fans of everything that crew does. You could look at our show as just the opening act for ARCA Thunder. Our only advantage is the fifty cent tacos and cheap beer they serve at the Speedway Bar and Grill. After three hours of radio, we may not care what the show sounds like.
