Can you say “slam dunk”? Although NASCAR’s media contract negotiation team should get an assist on this one - ABC/ESPN – the network that brought NASCAR fans, “America’s Funniest Home Videos” in place of the end of one of the final Chase to the Sprint Cup races, is the hands down winner of this year’s “Doh!” OPeR.
What are the chances that one of the NFL’s networks will preempt the fourth quarter of the NFC Championship game?
Uh, zero. Zero is the answer.

Don’t forget that CBS delayed the start of its highest rated TV show every week to see the end of its football telecasts. Sixty minutes would begin after the last football game of the evening was complete.

About the same as the Lions ever making it to a NFC Championship game.
Sorry Charlie. Had. To. Do. It!
I beg you pardon Marc. But the Lions DID make it to the NFC Championship Game in 1991. Reports are, that they had to leave early in the fourth quarter, when the bus that brought them to the stadium turned back into a pumpkin.
Why do you pick on me so? Oh yeah – I’m a Robby Gordon fan. Forgot.
