The 2011 Ford 400 will be the 13th Sprint Cup race at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
There have been 8 race winners and 9 different.drivers have won the pole.
Two times the race has been won from the first starting position. Kurt Busch was the most recent winner to start on pole, on 11/17/2002.
Greg Biffle is the only three time Homestead-Miami race winner. Busch, Kasey Kahne and Jimmie Johnson each have two career poles.
Jeff Gordon and Kevin Harvick each have five Top Fives. Gordon has nine Top Tens. Tony Stewart has 11 Lead Lap Finishes, each are all-time Homestead-Miami bests.
Carl Edwards has led 441 laps, which is tops.
Jeff Burton and Stewart have never had a DNF at Homestead in the tracks’ history!
Kurt Busch is the youngest Homestead winner. He was 24 years, 3 months and 13 days old when he won the race on 11/17/2002. Bill Elliott was 46 years, 1 months and 3 days old when he won here on Veterans Day, 11/11/2001.
Homestead-Miami Speedway is a 1.5 mile oval and relatively steeply banked. NASCAR speedway’s are race tracks that are over 1 mile and not more than 2 miles in length. With the exception of Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Pocono Raceway which are both 2.50 miles. We keep them classified in the Speedway track type due to their unique configurations and relatively flat banking in the turns. So look at the results for the speedways in our ON Pit Row Stats, but when looking at how well a driver does at Homestead-Miami, also consider their performance at Bristol, Las Vegas, Dover & Darlington because of their steep banking.
