Introducing ARCA Angels: Inside ARCA, On Pit Row Launch Fundraising


TOLEDO OH (8-22-08)–The Automobile Racing Club of America, in
conjunction with Bench Racing Promotions, have announced the formation
of a cause-marketing effort known as ARCA Angels. The eight-week program
runs in conjunction with On Pit Row and Inside ARCA sponsored by Team
GLOCK Racing, a pair of motorsports-themed radio shows that are
broadcast live from the Toledo Speedway Bar and Grill every Tuesday
night.

The ARCA Angels promotion has been designed so that the ARCA community
can support three very distinct efforts:

*        Focus Motorsports Ministries chaplain Bill Krick has recently
undergone open heart surgery.

*        Race car driver Terry Gibson was involved in a fatal MSA
Modified accident at Toledo Speedway.

*        Caleb Manuel is a Toledo Speedway fan with a severe spinal
disorder.

“We are just trying to help,” said Mark Gundrum, Vice President of
Marketing and Communications for ARCA. “There are people who are
associated with ARCA and the sport of auto racing who need help, and we
have formed a small group of people who are willing to help if they
can.”

During the ARCA Angels promotion, On Pit Row and Inside ARCA audience
members have the chance to win free food, prizes and race tickets. The
Toledo Speedway Bar and Grill’s weekly Tuesday night food and drink
specials, including $1 cans of beer and the popular Taco Tuesday
special, also remain in effect during the ARCA Angels fundraising
effort.

On Pit Row can be heard every Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on WCWA-AM
1230, Toledo’s Fox Sports Radio. The show is also available via live,
streaming audio on www.onpitrow.com <http://www.onpitrow.com/> . Listen
to Inside ARCA Radio sponsored by Team GLOCK Racing every Tuesday night
from 7-8:30 p.m. via live streaming audio on arcaracing.com. The show is
also available in the Toledo, Ohio market on WCWA-AM 1230 radio.

Each week on Inside the ARCA RE/MAX Series and Inside ARCA, hosts
Charlie Turner and Steve Wronkowicz provide listeners with unparalleled
ARCA content, including race winner interviews, special guests,
statistics, results, news and notes. The first hour of the 90-minute
program, dubbed Inside the ARCA RE/MAX Series sponsored by Team GLOCK
Racing, features content exclusive to ARCA’s nationally touring ARCA
RE/MAX Series. An additional 30 minutes of each show is called Inside
ARCA, featuring content exclusive to all other ARCA properties,
including weekly ARCA-sanctioned racing at Flat Rock Speedway and Toledo
Speedway and the ARCA Lincoln Welders Truck Series.
