One and Done Fantasy Racing Rules
Session Length
The length of each session during the regular NASCAR season will be 13 races.
There will also be a 10 race playoff during the Chase, which makes for 3 sessions per season and 3 times the prizes!
2009 Sessions
- Daytona ⇒ Dover
- Pocono ⇒ Richmond
- New Hampshire ⇒ Homestead
Open Registration
Registration for a session will begin about 2 weeks before the next session begins. Registration for the session will close one hour before picks are closed for the first race of the session.
How To Play
- Pick one driver every week who you think will place the best.
- You may only pick a driver one time per each session.
- You get the points that your selected driver earns during the race.
Points System
- You earn the points of your selected driver earns during that weeks race.
- Points will be calculated Monday afternoon, once the results are final.
- There will be no deductions in case of a penalty by NASCAR.
Weekly Schedule
- Results will be posted Monday afternoon/evening.
- Picks open up on Tuesday at 4pm EDT.
- Picks must be made by Saturday at 4pm EDT.
- Failure to make a pick will earn you 0 points for the week.
- Miss 3 weeks, and we'll hit you under 12-4-A: "Actions Detrimental To Stock Car Racing", and suspend you for the rest of the session.
Ties
- Tie breakers will only be used when the prize for the position(s) which are tied are different. If the prizes are the same, the positions will remain tied.
- In case of a tie at the end of the session, the standard tie breaker will be used, just as if it were drivers tied in the points. (Wins, Top-5's, Top-10's, Top-15's etc., until the tie is broken.).
- In case of an unbreakable tie which includes differing prizes for winning position, we will factor in registration date, prior prize winnings, and number of sessions played. If the player has one a grand prize in the current season, we will offer it to the opposing player. If neither have one a grand prize, we will attempt to determine which player has been playing longer, and been most participative. For example, if "Fred" registered for the first session, skipped the second, and played the third, and "Barney" registered after "Fred", but played all 3 sessions, "Barney" would be eligible for the higher level prize.
Unclaimed Prizes
Any unclaimed prizes may be donated to one of the various NASCAR charities involving children, or saved for the next session, situation depending.
Eligibility
While your gracious hosts Charlie and Steve will be playing, they are gracious enough to exclude themselves from the prize pool. Not that Steve is going to do well enough to win, but that's beside the point. Also, anyone directly involved with the production of the show have also politely removed themselves from the prize pool, although it is rumored that Steve said he would take them out for dinner.
